Frequently Asked Questions
Eyelash Extension FAQs
How long do my lash extensions last?
Eyelash extensions typically last 3-5 weeks depending on the growth cycle of your hair. As your hair grows out, your extensions will shed along with your natural lashes.
When your lash extensions shed, we recommend that you get a refill between the 2 to 4 week period to get you back to the fullness of your original full set.
Do eyelash extensions damage your natural lashes?
Eden Beauty Bar strongly prioritizes the health of our clients' natural lashes. Damage only occurs if the artist applies extensions that are too heavy or if the client attempts to remove the extensions themselves. Rubbing, pulling, or tugging at the extensions could potentially remove the natural eyelash from the follicle.
At Eden Beauty Bar, the standard process of applying extensions focuses on keeping the natural lash in tact and at optimal health by using handmade fans with customizable densities. Each eyelash extension set is safe and personalized for the individual needs of each client.
How do I manage and take care of my lash extensions?
After getting lash extensions, it is imperative that you keep them clean. We recommend that you wash your lashes every night with our antimicrobial eyelash cleanser by Eden Beauty Bar. Doing this helps to prevent infections from daily build up, makeup, or other debris that can acquire throughout the day.
Avoid getting your lashes wet for the first 48 hours
Avoid oils, heavy sweating (this may affect your retention), and sleeping directly on your new lashes
How often should I get refills?
It all depends on how quickly your extensions shed. On average most clients are due for a refill at 3 to 4 weeks. If at 3 weeks you notice that your lashes are still full, then you may want to wait until 4 weeks so that a few more lashes can shed. You’ll know when you are due for a refill when you see spaces or gaps in between your lashes.
Eyebrow Design PMU FAQs
What is the difference between micro-blading and micro-shading?
Microblading is the use of a professional blade to create the look of hair strokes that mimics natural brow hairs.
Microshading is the use of a specialized needle to create a more sculpted look that mimics the appearance of an eyebrow that is filled in with makeup.
How long is a microblading or microshading procedure?
The entire procedure takes about 3 hours. Some of this time includes the numbing process and mapping out the perfect eyebrow shape.
Do I have to shave my real eyebrows to get a microblading service?
Absolutely not! All semi-permanent techniques are detailed around your natural eyebrow hairs. In fact, natural eyebrow hairs make it easier for the artist to create a brow design that blends for a more natural look. So there is no need to shave your brows
Does a microblading procedure hurt?
Every client has different pain levels so we cannot guarantee that you won’t feel anything, however, we are very confident in our choice of topical anesthetics. Most clients feel little to no pain during a semi-permanent makeup series. Some even fall asleep.
When should I get a touch-up after my initial microblading service?
You should come in after 6 to 8 weeks after getting semi-permanent makeup services to give your brows complete time to heal.
